My name’s Ben Wilkinson and at the time of writing I am 43, happily married with 2 beautiful children and working M-F 9-5 to pay off the mortgage.

Aside from family and fiends trail, running, hiking, photography and being in nature are my favorite things. Luckily I live in Tasmania, Australia and have easy access to stunning mountain trails right outside my door.

These pages are a collection of the information on running I found interesting, helpful and worth sharing. I hope they take you on a journey of discovery and provide answers to some of your questions.

There is so much information out there and it’s hard to get your head around what to do, when to do it, how much to do etc. I waded through swathes of websites, podcasts, blogs and post and this is the stuff that appealed to me.

There is a strong emphasis on endurance running because it is my area of interest and passion. Long distances over 50k are where the greatest challenges and enjoyment lie for me. There is something about the physical, mental and spiritual challenge that comes with running long distances that I find addictive, it’s not very often I have the chance to do them but when I do I want to give it my all and that’s where the training and thirst for knowledge come from.
